In a significant stride towards promoting women's health, dignity, and economic empowerment, we collaborated with the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to conduct a comprehensive training program in Kwali Area Council, Abuja. The focus of this initiative was to impart valuable skills to rural women and students in the production of menstrual hygiene reusable pads.
Menstrual hygiene remains a crucial yet often overlooked aspect of women's health. In many parts of the world, including rural areas, women face challenges in accessing affordable and sustainable menstrual hygiene products. Recognizing this gap, our collaborative program aimed to address not only the immediate need for menstrual hygiene solutions but also to contribute to the global initiative to eliminate violence against women and girls.
The training program comprised a series of hands-on sessions covering various aspects, ranging from the Production of Reusable Pads to health and Hygiene Education, Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Education, and Entrepreneurial Empowerment.
We believe that the impact of this program extends far beyond the training sessions. By providing women and students with the skills to produce their menstrual hygiene products, we contribute significantly to their overall well-being. The ripple effect of this initiative includes not only improved health outcomes but also enhanced confidence, community engagement, and economic independence.
Through collaboration with government bodies and international organizations, we are committed to championing sustainable change in communities. This program serves as a testament to the potential of collective efforts in addressing fundamental issues and fostering positive transformations.
Together, we can continue making strides toward a future where every woman and girl has access to the resources and knowledge needed to lead a life of dignity and empowerment.
