What We Do

Early Childhood Development

Early childhood development (ECD) plays a pivotal role in shaping a child's future, influencing their cognitive, emotional, and social well-being. The first 1,000 days from conception to age 3 are particularly crucial, impacting brain development and laying the foundation for lifelong learning and health.

In Nigeria, data reveals both progress and challenges in early childhood development. According to UNICEF, around 30% of Nigerian children under 5 are stunted, highlighting the prevalence of malnutrition and its impact on early development. Access to quality early childhood education remains limited, with approximately 40% of children not attending any form of pre-primary education (UNESCO).

To this end, GoalPrime Organization Nigeria provides tailored interventions that mitigate the militating effect of OOSC, Malnutrition and limited access to quality education amongst others. At GoalPrime, we also strive to ensure that policies like the National Policy on Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCE) are robustly implemented and that resource allocation are provided for developmental intervention in these sectors.
