GOALPRIME ORGANIZATION SEPTEMBER, 2023 FACTSHEET

Prolonged conflict perpetuated by Boko Haram and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria-West Africa has spurred massive displacement and undermined food security, education in northeastern Nigeria. 

 

Approximately 7.7 million people in northeastern Nigeria require emergency assistance, according to the UN’s 2020 Global Humanitarian Overview. GOALPrime September 2023 Factsheet provided Humanitarian services to 25,293 conflict-affected individuals in northeast Nigeria, includes child protecction, education, water and sanitation, social-economic reintegration, nutrition, helath, and gender-based violence mitigation. Funding as sourced from multiple donors, such as Education Cannot Wait (ECW), the Norwegian Foriegn Ministry, Central Emergency Relief Fund (CERF), NRC/Street Child Consortium, and Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF). Collaborative efforts with government and non-governmental entitles were undertaken to deliver these vital interventions in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe State.
