Empowering Futures: A Step Towards Protective, Inclusive and Quality Education across the BAY States

In the pursuit of ensuring Protective, Inclusive, and Quality Education for conflict-affected children across the BAY States, a significant milestone was achieved under the ECW UNICEF project. The initiative began a transformative journey, igniting the flame of education in the lives of Out of out-of-school learners in LGAs across the BAY States.

We flagged off the distribution of Scholastic materials to the learners who had been identified and enrolled across these LGAs. The LGAs that benefitted from this distribution include Pulka and Kala-Balge LGA, in Borno State; Gujba LGA in Yobe State, and Madagali LGA in Adamawa State

This distribution of Scholastic materials would aid these children who were previously denied the right to education due to the harsh realities of conflict. The initiative aimed not only to provide essential learning tools but also to make teaching and learning impactful.

Among the items distributed were 80 Basic Literacy Facilitators Guides, 80 Basic Numeracy Facilitators Guides, 1938 Packed Learners Kits, 5600 Literacy Learners Workbooks, and 4100 Numeracy Learners Workbooks distributed to Teachers and Out of School Learners within the LGAs, these tools were not just materials; they were pathways to enlightenment, gateways to a brighter future

The spirit of the learners was truly inspirational. Their enthusiasm and joy were palpable, reflecting the immense impact this initiative had on their lives. With the new materials in their hands, they embraced the opportunity to learn with unwavering zeal and commitment. It was a testament to the hunger for knowledge that exists within every child, regardless of their circumstances.

In the face of adversity, this initiative stands as a reminder that a better humanity is possible. It showcases the immense power of collective efforts, where organizations like ECW and UNICEF join hands to create tangible change. The smiles on the faces of these children serve as a testament to the transformative power of education, proving that even in the most challenging circumstances, hope can prevail.

A better humanity is possible
