Nigeria Country-Based Pooled Funds: Witnessing Transformative Impact on the Ground

Pooled Fund

As a Member of the United Nations Advisory Board for the Nigeria Country-Based Pooled Fund, GOALPrime Organization Nigeria Country Director (Professor Christopher Chinedumuije Oguegbu), alongside fellow Advisory Board members and donor agencies, had the privilege of visiting the field to witness firsthand the transformative impact of the Nigerian Humanitarian Fund (NHF).

During the visit, we explored the implementation sites of three national actors: FRAD Foundation in Muna Garage, CBI in Shuwari, and RHHF in Elmiskini Camp. It was truly inspiring to see how these organizations, supported by NHF financing, are making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable communities. Their unwavering dedication and impactful programs highlight the critical role the NHF plays in delivering life-saving interventions across Northeast Nigeria (BAY States).

Pooled Fund

The NHF continues to serve as a lifeline for national actors in the Nigerian humanitarian response, providing timely, flexible funding that addresses urgent needs and sustains essential services. As humanitarian needs grow, we call on donors and governments to scale up their commitments to the NHF. This vital funding mechanism ensures uninterrupted delivery of life-saving support and sustains hope for communities in need.

Together, we can build a better humanity—one step at a time.
