Wrapping Up Season 3 of Da Rarrafe: A Celebration of Children's Voices

Over the weekend, we bid farewell to another successful season of Da Rarrafe, our child-led live radio program dedicated to amplifying the voices of children in Northern Eastern Nigeria. With 20 weeks of engaging discussions, insightful conversations, and meaningful interactions, season 3 came to a close, leaving behind a legacy of empowerment and advocacy.

From its inception, Da Rarrafe has been a beacon of hope and a platform for children to express their thoughts, concerns, and aspirations. In collaboration with UNICEF Nigeria and support from KFW.DE, we embarked on this journey to give children a voice and a platform to discuss issues that affect them directly.

Throughout the season, our star anchors, aged 10-15 years, captivated audiences with their eloquence, passion, and unwavering commitment to making a difference. From discussing education and healthcare to child protection and rights.

As we rounded off the season, we had the honor of visiting the Borno state Children's parliament, where our star anchors engaged in discussions on the Child Act Law and other legislative functions. It was a remarkable opportunity for them to interact with policymakers and advocate for the rights of children at the highest level.

Additionally, we visited IDP camps in the state, bringing gifts and prizes won from activities conducted with the children there. These visits not only brought joy and excitement to the children but also served as a reminder of the resilience and strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity.

As we reflect on the success of season 3, we are filled with gratitude for everyone who made it possible – from our partners and sponsors to our dedicated team and, most importantly, the children themselves. Their voices have the power to inspire change, and we are committed to continuing our mission of empowering them to shape a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

As we look ahead to future seasons of Da Rarrafe, we remain steadfast in our belief that every child deserves to be heard, respected, and empowered. Together, we can create a world where children's voices are not only heard but also valued and acted upon.

Thank you for joining us on this incredible journey. Until next time, let's continue to amplify the voices of children and work towards a future where every child can thrive.

 A better humanity is possible
